When I have run a report and I want to change something in the layout of the report (set alignment, add a SUM to a column etc), the whole reports runs again, and does so by sending the (unchanged) query to de database again.
I see the query results in the CDA chache manager, this cache seems not to be useds, # hits = 0.

Is it possible to use the cache, to speed up things as layout change?

That is a very good question wich i never really found out about. As far as i remember the cache property in our cda is set to true without any effect. Maybe this is because the cda file gets rewritten every time the report runs. I talked to webdetails about that a while ago but didnt come to a solution.

Does it mean the cache will happen if the file is not rewritten?

The file always gets rewritten, theres no way around that. But I didnt
find out why it does not cache
even if the content of the file does not change. I talked to the
webdetails/cda people and they say it should work.
