I've been working on the EML metadata schema module which could be used in GeoNetwork(1). Eml-gbif module can be found in the schema-plugins repository(2). Unfortunately it is supported only in GeoNetwork version 2.10.x.

Would any of the contributors be able to point out the information about how to generate a schema module which could be used in the latest GeoNetwork version 3.4.x ? Or a method to create a general structure layout as a basis for working out the specifics manually, particularly for the LTER metadata profile(3).

For example, a metadata schema generator(4) exists for the iso19139 standard. As EML is based on dublin-core standard the generator tool can not be used for EML schema.

Hi @zer0mode, we're checking to do a similar work based on eml 2.2, but we run into serious problems with the xsd, as discussed in #334. Importing and viewing seems ok, but modifying a record messes things up drastically.

Hi everyone, sorry to up this old post, but it seems of interest, now the xsd problems are solved, if I am not wrong, with the last EML versions.
