can't edit or delete connections

I have some obsolete connections that I would like to destroy. But the "connect", "edit" and "delete" icons are missing from the connection list for these connections. (They do seem to appear for some other connections.) I've closed ALL the connection windows from my local workspace, so they should not be in use.

ah, I see what happened. I'm using a postgres connection string, and the system-generated username/password are VERY long. So the connect/edit/delete icons are getting pushed out of the modal dialog to the right. If I scroll over, I can see them and use them.
