After installation, running applications from the build/staging directory no longer works

After installing HPX applications, attempting to run the instant of the application
that is in the build directory no longer works:

It works fine if I run it from the installation directory.

This has been a problem for awhile, I believe.

Please attach a log as there we'll be able to see what components are to be loaded from what directory.
