HPX applications throw exception when executed from the build directory

HPX applications throw an error

tfunc(0): caught hpx::exception: attempt to create component instance of \
    invalid/unknown type: component_invalid[-1] (component type not found \
    in map): HPX(bad_component_type), aborted thread execution
