The MPI parcelport shows excellent performance. This is mainly due to not dispatch the read, write and accept handlers to asio. In order for the other two low latency parcelports to benefit from the experience made with the MPI parcelport, those need to be refactored.

If the shmem parcelport is in fact the IPC parcelport, then this was removed in #2293 - can this issue can now be closed?
