Playback doesn't stop when using bottom contols

✍️ Bug Description

When playing one or multiple audio files, the playback bars at the bottom doesn't seem to respond to anything. The UI updates according to the users input but pressing pause doesn't pause the playback and pressing stop doesn't stop. When Pressing stop the bottom controls vanish (as they are supposed to) and the top stop button becomes unresponsive (as it is supposed to) but since there is no other way of stopping playback the only way to do so becomes closing the app.

🔁 Steps to reproduce

Start playback and press pause on the bottom control and navigation widget

The output continues while the playback is active, displaying the message over and over after and before interacting with the controls
