Migrated from the original issue at https://www.assembla.com/spaces/tracks-tickets/tickets/1461

Some tasks must be done at a very specific time. The calendar feed might provide a simple enough means for enabling alarms/reminders. The vcal/ical specifications seem to allow for alarms to be set in a feed (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICalendar#To-do_.28VTODO.2).

Perhaps alarms could be tied to due dates/times?

Are you suggesting that some logic could be used to construct a reminder from the existing due date? Or would reminder time be a new field?

I think a due time field would be necessary.
