Coming out of #185 - we will need to remove the workarounds put into the /etc/profile.d/10-budgie-desktop-common.sh to launch welcome.

We really do need to use the snap autostart stuff in snapcraft.yaml. This needs to be done early in the next cycle (for 19.10).

Additional detail... this launch issue is in both an installed system and a live session.

  • At the moment a script to look around every 3 seconds looking to see when "Current" is created
  • when its created then "snap run ubuntu-budgie-welcome" is then issued to kick start welcome
