login errors: Admin vs. Editor roles

When I created a new email address to satisfy a new role (to test Author/Editor access vs. Admin access to the system -- so I could see what Authors would see when they went to check their Submissions and reviews), I opened a separate browser (tried Safari and Chrome; was using Firefox for Admin login), made sure I was logged out of google from any existing accounts, pasted the Invitation url for the Author/Editor login, and it got me past the first Google login screen, but then failed to allow me access to the Vega studio once I had logged in. See attached screenshot. It also won't let me use the Logout button in the screenshot below, so you get "stuck" at this window.
