Bugs from console error messages

The number of error messages in the browser console when loading the site is very large and is something that should be addressed. The site also hard-crashes sometimes. Many errors point to missing layers, non-existents asset paths, an old staging environment etc. The codebase seems to need a bit of a cleanup after the last updates
