Changelog

All notable changes relevant to players in this project will be documented in this file.

The format is based on Keep a Changelog. This project uses its own versioning system.

  • Minimum war duration changed to 48 hours (from 72), however the invasion bonuses will remain active for 12 hours after war is cancelled

Changed

  • Black ops and Theft success rates now use the same formula (an approximate average of the two)
  • Adjust XP gain for invasion to 1 per acre gained (from 1 per acre captured)
  • Adjust XP gain for info/black/war to 2/4/6 (from 1/3/5)
  • Heroes now lose 1 XP per acre lost from invasion
  • Max Hero level increased to 12 (from 10)
  • Adjusted XP requirements for all levels

    • Casualty reduction removed (in lieu of Healer hero)

  • Lightning repair bonus now scales based on total damage received, up to 100% at 10% damage received (from constant 100%)
  • Spy/Wizard ratio required for maximum damage reduction from black ops now scales up during the round: 0.5 at Day 4, 1.0 at Day 24, 1.5 at Day 44 (from 1.0 all round)
  • Research point gains on attack are now 5x land conquered OR 750 whichever is higher (from 750 flat)

    • Disband Spies and Assassinate Wizards damage reduced by 10% per 1% owned, up to a maximum of 50% at 5% owned.
  • Cyclone cost reduced to 2x (from 3x)
  • Trick of the Light tech now protects mana instead of decreasing mana cost
  • Castle improvements destroyed by Lightning Bolt can now be 'repaired' (investment is doubled)

  • Bots have had their OOP defense decreased below 525 acres and greatly increased above 525 acres
  • Minimum defense changed to 10x Land - 3200 (from 3x Land)
  • Repeatedly invading bots no longer incurs a prestige penalty
  • Tech cost changed to 2.5x Land + 150x Techs, min 3750 (from 3600 + 0.65x Land + 150x Techs, min 3900)

  • Maximum pack size increased to 5 (from 4)
  • Packs with fewer than 5 players may select two of each race
  • Time between realm assignment and round start increased to 72 hours (from 48)
  • Base prestige gain slightly increased
  • Bot DP reduced at lower land sizes
  • Prestige penalty for hitting bots reduced to 5% each (from 10% each) after the 4th

  • Quickstarts for all races have been redesigned in order to be easier to update
  • Exploration costs reduced, formula coefficients changed to 0.6 (from 0.61) and 1.299 (from 1.305)

Changed

  • Construction costs reduced across the board by up to 20% and further reduced based on your conquered land total
  • Destroyed buildings during invasion no longer grant the target discounted construction
  • Prestige gain is now based only on relative land size, target prestige and recent invasions are ignored
  • Land loss decreased to 80% of the DC formula (from 90%), generated land now equal to 100% land lost (from 66.67% of land lost)
