Issue: Double-click <=> icon to resize column not appearing recurrently

I'm using GanttProject 3.2.3242 for Windows in a 2560x1440 screen (no scaling).
Several times, I expected the icon <=> appearing in between columns (for resizing) when hovering over the mouse pointer.
However, as shown in the screen-recording below, the icon didn't appear.
To make it appear and start working as expected, I had to click, hold and move the mouse on a column, as if I'm repositioning it.
After that, the icon <=> appears and starts working.
