Can I be a contributor to this repo?

I'd like to help out with this module since I'm in a legacy project that uses it. As part of that, I'd like to be able to respond to and close issues, merge PRs, and so on as they get fixed rather than sending pull requests. Alternately, we can transfer the repo so all the issues stay in tact.

I've asked the primary maintainer for comaintainer bits.

If you know another way this can work out, let me know.

I have the primary maintainership now, and I'd still like to transfer issues. This also solves #35.
