To recreate:

  • Click on a note to edit it, and put your cursor somewhere other than at the beginning
  • Switch to another browser tab
  • Switch back to notestack

Expected behavior:

  • Note is still in edit mode and cursor is where I left it

Actual behavior:

  • Note begins to sync, is no longer in edit mode

Hrm, this doesn't happen to me (Firefox 8.0.1, Windows). Sounds like your browser is bluring the field on tab switch. What you described as "expected behavior" is default for this browser. I just checked with IE 8 (Win, obviously) and the behavior you describe doesn't happen either. What browser are you using?

You have to modify the note first:

  • press enter to edit note
  • type or delete something
  • ctrl+tab to different tab
  • ctrl+tab back
  • note is syncing and will lose cursor position afterwards

Fixing #18 may be good enough to fix this though
