Why? Do you have any plans to still support #SailfisOS ? This has been a very useful app, which hopefully someone will contiinue to develop for #Jolla.. Are there some specific issues that need to be resolved or is this because of update 9 and Qt 5.2 that the app does not work in #SailfishOS anymore?

Hi,I didn't want to promote anymore Jolla closed  device and SailfishOS plateform‎.First reason is that I got a defect device with random reboots, sim issue, SD card slot issue, and they never been able to fix it or replace it after around 6 months. So i asked for a refund with legal threat. And finally they accept to refund.Second is that I don't want to support Company  I didn't trust‎.Third I prefer to not deliver binary package ‎I can't test on device nor support. But sources is here and you should be able to compile it without anything else than Sailfish SDK. And no 5.2 should not be a problem at all.‎Thanks,Regards Benoît HERVIER - http://khertan.net De: Jukka AaltonenEnvoyé: vendredi 7 novembre 2014 06:36À: khertan/ownNotesRépondre à: khertan/ownNotesObjet: [ownNotes] Not available for #SailfishOS anymore.. Ok, thanks for your reply. Sad to hear that you hsve such bad experience with Jolla. Your app was great and good that you keep the sources here so that it can still be build for #SailfishOS. I've been devrloping another app for #SailfishOS and I just might be interested in forking this repo of yours and making ownNotes available for #Jolla again. I hope you don't mind if I decife to do so.. Mostly I need the app for my own uses but then thru OpenRepos it would become available to all. Cheers, -jukka

‎Thanks,Of course not, that's one ‎of the main reason of Open Source , users and dev should be able to evolve and maintain an app that isn't maintain anymore. Even if I don't mind about Jolla Plateform anymore, I will be happy if someone working on it.Do not forget to send me a link to your repository, I ll link it on mine and route user and dev to it ‎:)And being the first user is still the best reason to make an apps :)Regards Benoît HERVIER - http://khertan.net De: Jukka AaltonenEnvoyé: vendredi 7 novembre 2014 07:29À: khertan/ownNotesRépondre à: khertan/ownNotesCc: Benoît HERVIERObjet: Re: [ownNotes] Not available for #SailfishOS anymore.. @khertan, it’s sad to see you go and stop develop ownNotes at least for Mer…

Has anyone stepped up to the task of continuing this wonderful app?

Can you give a shout out?

I am really not good at coding (i.e. never got past a simple script), but if no-one else is willing to do it, I might take a stab at it at some point …

ownNotes has been a core app for me on SailfishOS, and although I understand you're not supporting it on the platform, I'm sure there are others like me who find it useful. Unfortunately ownCloud removed support for WebDAV locks, and since then it didn't work for me.

I've finally had a chance to look at your source to remove the locking code, and with this minor change it seems to be working again. I'll create a pull request in case you're interested to incorporate the changes into yours.

Are you happy for me to make a package available on OpenRepos again (unless you prefer to do it yourself)?

Of course, you are free to make the package yourself for OpenRepos, upload it and take the leadership on it.

Thanks for the pull request

Thank you for being so accommodating, and for merging the pull request.

'take the leadership' may be a bit too strong, but I'll certainly make the package available for others to use as it's such a useful app.

yes, some of us were not even expecting some news regarding this app, thanks both of you for raising it back from the dead :D

Sorry, I must also ask: is there a way of generating the HTML changelogs to display in the 'About' page? I couldn't see this documented anywhere, but maintaining this in the app is a nice idea.

There is a script i used for this /Sailfish/ownNotes/release.py, it s use git tag to generate changelog based on some basic formatting in changelog. I didn t use it since years, so didn t remember how it works exactly :p

Thank you, that's perfect. I'll give it a go :)

I managed to get to grips with release.py (after generating a few releases with peculiar names while I figured out the command-line parameters!).

The new version is up on OpenRepos for anyone interested:

https://openrepos.net/content/flypig/ownnotes
http://www.flypig.co.uk/?to=ownnotes

I'll be doing my best to maintain this version, but am on holiday right now so will suddenly have much less time when I get back to work :( Any contributions from others would be very welcome :)
