Consider to clean (remove) old DNN-based tauIDs:

  • DPFTau aka DPFIsolation (in RecoTauTag/RecoTau/plugins/DPFIsolation.cc)
  • DeepTau v1 (v1-related code in RecoTauTag/RecoTau/plugins/DeepTauId.cc)

Implemented in cms-sw#38063 which is already merged to cmssw master. Corresponding model files removed in cms-data/RecoTauTag-TrainingFiles#9 which will be merged soon.
=> closing the issue.
