Forms not submitting on Firefox

This seems to be a bug.

What is the current behavior?
Codebuddies.org forms, like the "Schedule Hangout" or "What I learded", aren't submitting. I click the "Schedule Hangout" and nothing happens. Likewise, pressing return in the "What I learned" just makes a new line, rather than submitting the form.

What is the expected behavior?
The forms would submit on click or when pressing return.

Which browser / OS are affected by this issue? (An isolated way to reproduce the bug)
Firefox 70.0.1
Chromium 78.0.3904.108

I have reproduced this bug on two browsers now, Firefox and Chromium.

Oh no! The form finally submitted all the submissions! Now there are tons of duplicate events. I'm sorry for the event SPAM.

If there is some async code in the "schedule hangout" callback, like sending a Tweet, it should probably be moved to a scheduled process.
