[tech] html resolution is likely to involve HTML [type] enhancement a small improvement (most likely UI), not large enough to be considered a "feature"

What is the current behavior?
Currently, codebuddies.org's CoC is on GitHub here:
https://github.com/codebuddies/codebuddies/blob/master/CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md

And I think the only page that links to it is the About page here:
https://codebuddies.org/about

What is the expected behavior?

  1. I think it would be better for it to have its own page on codebuddies.org. It should also have a link somewhere in the footer area.
Inspired by what freeCodeCamp did here:
    https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/code-of-conduct/
They link to it in their footer area and also in their GitHub repo here:
    https://github.com/freeCodeCamp/freeCodeCamp/blob/master/CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md

  2. Based on recent incidences with scammers in our Slack community, we should add some copy to the CoC stating we have a zero tolerance policy for scammers. I'm thinking somewhere after this bullet list in the CoC:

Examples of unacceptable behavior by participants include:

  • The use of sexualized language or imagery and unwelcome sexual attention or advances
  • Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing others' private information, such as a physical or electronic address, without explicit permission
  • Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Maybe we could simply say after that list: "We have a zero tolerance policy for scammers, who will be deactivated immediately."
