The definition list for the navigation menu currently only alows entries that are page links. Sometimes it usefull to add a top level entry which just adds structure without beeing a page link.
Currently the following code:

  • [[start|Welcome]]
  • Products
    • [[Foomatic 2000]]
    • [[Foomatic 2010]]
  • Service
    • [[about|About Foo Inc.]]
    • [[Contact]]
  • [[syntax|Wiki Syntax]]

results in a rendering of only:

* Welcome
* Wiki Syntax

The other top level entries which are no links are ignored completely. It would be nice if this feature could be added.

And how would the user get to any of the products? If the link on "Products" is missing, users cannot click on it and the list would there not serve its purpose of being a navigation.

@selfthinker, it is a section header, not a link. We find it very useful in our current setup on DokuWiki and even on things further nested down. Only because our sidebar is getting so long are we looking at collapsable lists.

This would be a useful enhancement for us.
