I have been slowly nursing this project over the past few years and really, ya'll are wonderful pushing content fixes, but this project and the thoughtfulness required to ensure the correct choices are made are a bit much for someone who can not dedicate meaningful amounts of time to the project.

That being said, If you are interested in helping maintain please reply, and or start triaging tickets. I will work with @hexorx to either get myself access to add others, or add new maintainers himself.

@hexorx Can I get access to settings for the repo? Preferably so I can add some issue templates?

@pmor I don't have access to explicitly add you to the repo but initial triage and verification of any PR's. I am hoping @hexorx will pop back in here to grant me access. I think I have his twitter handle somewhere I can ping him outside of github.

@rposborne You had some ideas in #338 that might be worth revisiting, starting with a github org to host this repo

Hi all, what did you guys decide on future maintenance of the gem?

@rposborne @hexorx Any news regarding repo permissions and whatever else is needed to be able to get PRs merged, cut releases and get them online?

There's a growing number of PRs open with minor fixes and updates that could get merged in and released, even without getting into the bigger stuff.

I think it would be very helpful in speeding things up if the repo could get migrated into its own GitHub organization.

I have access to cut gems, but not access to grant it to others, I think the same goes for PRs. @pmor if you tag stuff (approved or something) I can merge stuff.

@hexorx really need you to increase some permissions, we are all busy, and this gem is great we don't want it to die.

@rposborne I'll ping you some PRs that I had approved

@pmor, you should now have write access, and I have been able to sync with @hexorx, and we are getting this transferred to https://github.com/countries. I will be looking for other folks looking to help out as well.

I have reached out to you on other mediums to get an email for RubyGems.

Just wanted to send thanks to everyone who has been involved in maintaining this gem. It's super useful and important that we have a quality gem for this country stuff. Thanks to each of you for your work and contrubution to this project.
