Bug description

I tried both rmp and flatpak latest builds with no success to make it work. Crow's window comes empty when triggering "Translate selected text" shortcut. Works totally fine under X11 protocol. How I can help to track the issue?

Steps to reproduce

  1. Select any text anywhere
  2. Call "Translate selected text" using shortcut or action menu
  3. Crow opens up
  4. Source field is empty

Environment

  • OS: Fedora 40 KDE
  • Desktop environment: KDE
  • Crow Translate version: 2.11.1

Could you ensure that Crow runs under Wayland and not via XWayland? You can verify it using xlsclients.

@Shatur Running xlsclients does not have Crow in the applications list

Crow is unable to select text in all applications or only in specific ones? Perhaps this application is launched under Xwayland?

I have two internet browsers, ungoogled-chromium (flatpak) and firefox (rpm). Each runs under different protocol as I believe looking at what xlsclients command brings up:

On the left side ungoogled-chromium vs firefox on the right:

Strange... Could try selecting and translating something in Dolphin (KDE file manager)?

Strange, can't reproduce on KDE, but I use Arch.
