Shouldn't be doing output with 'say' and 'die', etc. Look at using Log::Dispatchouli or possibly writing a chrome role/class for it to make it pluggable for testing.

MooseX::Role::Loggable provides a comfortable role for Log::Dispatchouli.

Just might be what you need.
