"require 'lyrics'" returns an error in Ruby #1

This is the error message that appears when running "require 'lyrics'":

irb(main):001:0> require 'lyrics'
LINES value must be >= 2 and <= 62: got 300
initscr(): Unable to create SP

perhaps your console window is too small? it works fine here
