Disable profile sidebar site wide

I believe it would be helpful to disable the profile sidebar site wide. This does not seem currently possible. When disabled the profile sidebar would not display and the title bar and content would be centered in the screen.

I have a similar request. I have largely been able to accomplish this - but then the site max width is too wide (assumes a third column).

Yet when I try to make it less wide (set a literal container width), scaling does not seem to work well on mobile.
