The syntax for regexps in the include/exclude parameters of the terms aggregation will change from Java regexps to Lucene regexps in Elasticsearch 2.0. So now it will be the same syntax as eg. the regexp query. Most users should not even notice the difference but if you use complex regexps, you might need to change them a bit.
