From the docs, it is not clear if one must install the plugin on every ES node in the cluster.
At least it was not clear for me, so i found this the hard way.
Current docs say:
After installing the plugin, be sure to restart the node. This applies to all nodes on which the plugins have been installed.
May be change it to :
Install the plugin on every node in the cluster.After installing the plugin, be sure to restart the node.

Technically you can install the plugin just on some nodes, the ones on where your index resides. However I agree that's a bit too technical and is likely to backfire - hence why I've updated the docs.
