~/.config/fish/completions is the folder I use for my local completions that are not going to be shared, or for not finished completion files. Recently I've found that this directory is spoiled by a thousand of generated files. I think that user managed folder should be distinguished from the folder for automatically generated completions.

Yeah, they should. The current state is unacceptable.

Now they go in ~/.config/fish/generated_completions/ . fish_update_completions will clean up old autogenerated ones from ~/.config/fish/completions
