React 17 support #1084

Not sure if this is a feature or a bug. But in the Release Notes you say

React 18 is the minimum required version, but...
...I'm considering to have a package for v17 if the demand is high enough.

We would love to have a package for v17, because we still need to support IE11 (just for a little longer), and that's holding back a lot of packages.
