Wammu Version: 0.44
OS: Windows 10 64 bit
Phone: Nokia 6220

After starting Wammu and successfully connecting to the phone the program does not respond after a while (inactive in Task Manager), then gets back executing for a few seconds and switching between inactive and executing without any user action. After successful reading from the phone the data is displayed, but the program does not respond anymore to any user action. The whole window is disabled and the program can only be terminated by using the Task Manager.

Same. It acts as if a dialogue box was stealing the focus from the main window.. except nothing is visible.

Could it be that the "Operation in progress" box is somehow not closed properly?

EDIT running Wammu in Windows Vista compatibility mode seems to solve the issue!

Same problem here running Wammu under Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1, when connecting to a tecdesk 3500 GSM deskphone (this and other programs identify it as SANTOK (W660) - according to Vodafone's Portuguese site as of a few years back the phone comes with Tecdesk PC Suite 7.0.9 which is impossible to find).

Setting compatibility to any flavour of Vista didn't work for me but setting compatibility to Windows XP SP3 did. Thanks for the tip.

Other:
a) Since Wammu can't print I need to find an xml viewer that can reproduce the rendered appearance as shown in Wammu of Messages and Contacts from the exported SMS xml; all the ones I find so far are editors of the xml source.
b) Exporting Messages from Wammu gives the alternative of email mbox or eml formats. Each requires further applications that can read them and print to pdf or physical paper.
