Issue description

Why is the option Difftool selected < - > local not active in version 4.2.1.17611 of Git Extensions? It was very useful when I had it in older versions.

Git Extension

Steps to reproduce

  1. I chose file history
  2. I wanted to compare an older file revision with the local one
  3. The option is inactive. See image attached.

Did this work in previous version of GitExtensions?

It worked in Git extension 3.5.4.12724

Diagnostics

No response

Control click Working directory and use Difftool/F3 to compare. Can be done in both in the main Browse window or the mostly obsolete separate FileHistory window.

This seem to be consequence of #10438 that also should cause the submodule detection to fail and a few other issues.

Thank you, but unfortunately it doesn't work or I didn't understand what needs to be done. I reinstalled version 3.5.4.12724 in which this option was active using the right mouse click.
