Please complete the following information when submitting a feature request or bug report.

  • Extension version: 7.1.8
  • Browser name & version: Chrome 86.0.4240.111
  • Operating system & version: Linux Debian Testing 5.7.17

I love The Great Suspender -- I recommend it to everyone!

I use Linux w/ Cinnamon window manager, where a click into a non-focussed window is passed through to the app (unlike MacOS, where [IIRC] the first click shifts focus and later clicks are passed through; I've never managed to find a way to change Cinnamon's behavior). This means that I often end up reloading a tab I didn't mean to, just by clicking on another window.

Earlier versions of The Great Suspender had a banner across the top that was not "live" for reloading. Could we have that back? (Maybe have it be a full border all the way around the edge of the window?)

Thanks!

well, apparently the page title is that "dead" "banner" (the favicon already isn't).

but i'd also prefer the "sensitive" area to be much smaller, e.g., only the image and instructions for unsuspending. however, dunno how that would mix with page content screenshotting (never even tried that feature ...).

For those who are not aware, there is great concern that this extension may now be malicious in nature.
You will find a great deal of discussion about this here:

and a summary of the situation to date here:

#1263
