The new scroll view is really great. Unfortunately, I have a very large presentation for which the scroll view is not suitable, as I can barely see the scrollbar move.
Nevertheless, the scrollbar is very handy for seeing the progress within a particular "section" (i.e. a single horizontal slide + vertical slides below), while still being able to see the overall progress with the horizontal progress bar.
I don't know the codebase at all, so I don't know how much effort it would be take to implement this. But if it is easily doable, I think it would be an amazing feature for those, like me, who use horizontal slides to make sections (i.e. of a course).

Thanks for the suggestion, very helpful. Not sure if it makes the issue solved, as scroll view tackles slightly different issues, such as showing fragments within a slide.
