Assign network Super Admin via LDAP in multi-site

Is there a way to map membership of a group to Super Admin (network admin) status? We use LDAP mostly to grant administrative privs (right now, at least) and have one multi-site install. But when we enable LDAP it applies the admin privs to the first site of multi-site, not the network.

Maybe we need another mapping from something to Super Admin? We're just using the default fields in the plugin configuration page.
