Analytics Stuff

  • Times of day when people write
  • Let people add metadata in their submissions via hashtag and display that (ex #hungry ). Hashtags aren't included in the poem.
  • Wordclouds or word frequency lists

Mood Stuff
The guys at 750 Words do some textual analytics on mood etc.
They say it's based on Regressive Imagery Dictionary (RID) and Linguistic Inquiry Word Count (LIWC). Python libraries exist for both of those.
