@gruenich@twoqubed@jopt-simple No plans as of now. I've lost much of the free time during which I'd contribute to JOpt Simple. I'd be happy to see someone willing to carry the torch going forward.
Last I can recall, the head of the main branch has work on it to modularize (JPMS) the JAR file. It'd probably be a good idea to raise the source/target to a LTS JDK more recenr than 8.
I'd imagine 6.0 to be basically that -- modernize and raise the minimum JDK required, plus any bug fixes that aren't present on 5.x. Anyone still on JDK 8 can continue to use 5.x.
Is there a plan to release version 6.0? What is missing? How can the community help with this release?
The last release is very old.
