The default theme is too monochromatic

I like the new theme, it is much better than the old one.
But I have a problem with it.

The controls and the page background use almost (or exactly?) the same colors. This is a problem if you stand a little bit further from the display. It is not easy to distinguish the controls from the background and from each other. It is also a problem on low quality displays. Not everybody has a high DPI device. It also might be a problem when using the app outside where the sunlight makes things even worse.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree we have to look into contrast. I am closing this ticket as duplicate of #6356.
