Hi, all.
I am trying to create a simple example on how to integrate a jruby into existing maven java build.
Goal of this is to be able to test existing java codebase using jruby + junit.
So far I understand how to create a junit tests in jruby.
What I can't find is a maven plugin that will do a compilation of test jruby code as a part of the build.
Expected, from my point of view, integration pattern for plugin would be to bind somewhere around testCompile phase/goal and do compilation of jruby to classes. After that other maven plugins can work with those classes.
Currently examples of plugins that I found expect to either use jruby maven polyglot build or do a gem creation, rake integration.
All of this is a quite excessive in my point of view and I expect that I am missing simpler solution here.
Can anyone point me to the maybe already existing examples of maven plugins used in jruby + java maven builds?
I understand that this approach may not be a expected and effective one for jruby integration, but I am trying to create something that has a lower level of entry for people who have a mainly Java knowledge.
