I have found this is not possible, I am planning on having a look at this implementation since I think it's one of the big missing features.

I have a good working version on my fork, I want to go through some more tests before initiating a pull request to the main master. I also have at the moment only implemented this for POSIX systems because of the pthread requirement. I will try to look at Windows in the near future.
