strange issue on ipad

I'm using cluetip with an ajax call on hover and loving it but I'm noticing some strange behavior on my iPad.

I have a list of items. For each list row I have an icon with cluetip bound to it on hover. When I touch the icon it pops fine. If I then touch the tooltip window it goes away and I can do this on all elements back and forth without issue. This is good.

However, If I fail to touch the tooltip window to make it go away, and instead click directly on another attached icon I can no longer go back to prior tooltips. The new tooltip shows, the old one goes away, but I can no longer access any tooltip I previously pressed on. I see the tooltip window flash briefly sometimes when I touch prior rows but it seems inaccessible until I refresh the page.

This does not happen using a normal mouse/hover.

Has anyone seen this, any idea what's happening? Is there a setting I can configure?
