This ticket is blocked by :

Improve the performance of unit tests in batches. Assigned to Owen Arnold as part of the 3.3 release maintenance window. This is an umbrella ticket to keep track of the individual batches owned by individual developers.

We managed to speed the unit tests up by about 4 minutes in this release!

All unit tests should still pass, as we weren't compromising on coverage.
