A beta testing bug reported by Jon Taylor:

The zoom of the instrument view is erratic and generates the follow error in the console

OpenGL error detected in GLViewport::issueGL(): invalid value
Arguments to glOrtho:
-1.8985 1.8985
-4.03405 0.937077
0 -0
