This issue was originally TRAC 11737

Original Reporter: @FedeMPouzols

The current array or signal, called "signal" is normalized by volume.
Add two new signals:

  • unnormalized
  • normalized by number of events
And then "signal" would become "signal norm. by volume" or similar.

These should appear in 'coloring' in the properties panel of the VSI pipeline browser.
This requires additions to VatesAPI/vtkMDHexFactory and related classes.

A point to clarify is what to do when switching views. The current behavior seems to be to default to "signal" in every type of view.

This is related to color issues in the VSI: http://trac.mantidproject.org/mantid/ticket/11705, http://trac.mantidproject.org/mantid/ticket/11706.
