On OS X, if you use the latest package there is an error on startup:

Could not open library /Applications/MantidPlot.app/plugins//libMantidRemote.dylib: dlopen(/Applications/MantidPlot.app/plugins//libMantidRemote.dylib, 10): Library not loaded: libboost_date_time.dylib
Referenced from: /Applications/MantidPlot.app/plugins//libMantidRemote.dylib
Reason: image not found
