Donations to where? For donations to the John Hunter Memorial Fund, there is already a link on the matplotlib website. Donations to matplotlib should be made to NumFOCUS.

We should probably add a link to the NumFOCUS page from the matplotlib website if anyone does want to donate, though.

Yeah -- I think I made this while I was still investigating how to take donations. I think NumFOCUS is the way to go, but they don't (yet) have a way to donate to specific projects. I understand that is coming, so maybe we just hold of resolving this from our end until they do...?

IPython, sympy and scikit-learn can, but I think matplotlib first needs to sign the fiscal sponsorship agreement. You'd have to chat with Fernando about that, but I wouldn't be surprise they'd like to "test" the system first on us.

Pushing this to 1.5 an the main page already has a donation page for the John Hunter Memorial Fund.
