Currently Cmd-W does nothing, and Ctrl-W closes the window. This should be swapped to be consistent with both: a) other backends; and b) OS X keyboard shortcuts.

Originally discussed in #1902.

Really? Both cmd+w and ctrl+w should close the figure window since #1902. Can you confirm that you still don't see this behaviour...

ctrl-w works, but cmd-w does not work. I'm using the current master, which is at fb27b4c.

Can someone on OSX try to reconfirm this?

With QT5 the situation seems to be the same. You can close a figure with ctrl-w but not with cmd-w
