Surface dialog: disappears when click on main application (2D/3D)

Patch dialog: stays visible while working

Evaluate: behavior in floating mode

Hmm... for me under out v1.6 both Surface Inspector (S-key) and also the Patch Properties (Shift+S-key) window are covered by floating 2D/3D views when you click on the latter.

Does the Entities editor, too? Or, is there any dialog in floating view which stays above the views?

Entities / Textures / Console window also gets covered by the other windows i.e. 2D/3D floats in v1.6. I don't recall any window that stays on top.

BTW, the Choose Color window should also aways stay on top, IMO, since it blocks the editor, and it quite easy to accidentally push it "under" the 2D windows.

It may also be good to make the detached menus/submenus "always stay on top".

I think it's a problem with the floating mode. For me, the detached menus stay above, so does the Surface dialog.

Hmm... have not restarted windows in over a week, and I have this "always stay on top" tool running, I think I had manually forces some of the windows to stay on top, and then turned that off again. Will test again after a reboot.
