Can't deselect multiple items during schema compare

When comparing a sql project against the database with the Schema Compare tool, I'd like to ability to deselect line by line with the space bar. I'd also like to be able to select multiple items with Shift+LeftMouse and then deselect (or select) with the space bar.

It should just work this way.
