Suggested new feature or improvement

Give us install options without having to edit the file:

1. When you load the apps, show checkboxes and auto check all of them by default. Allow me to uncheck them.
2. In the dropdown, show an install button to install just that app standalone
3. Show the status - is this already installed?

Scenario

I went through a dev home install that got stuck. Since there are, surprisingly, no logs showing (a separate issue), I have no clue what went wrong in the prior install. I have no idea the status of any of these. Some I have installed manually and want to skip, since dev home didn't install the important ones I wanted.
