There are two settings in Firefox that conflict with each other:

  • Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed
  • Clear history when Firefox closes

Questions:

  1. Do both work if set or is one of them without function anymore?
  2. Does the sanitize policy respect the exclusions list from the cockie policy section?

Confusing behavior:

  1. The "clear on exit" checkbox in the cockie section is not selected when the selective sanitize on shutdown for cockies is enabled. To have it enabled you need to sanitize "cache" and "offline website data" too. (Same when using the policy.)
  2. If the old "clear cokies on session end" policy is set the check boxes in the sanitize settings dialog are not checked.

Maybe you should rework the settings UI and combine the sections, as well as adding notes to the policy descriptions/docs.
